My Self Portrait - Final

I haven't been writing in my Art blog for some time now because I don't know what to write. Now, I am sitting in Art at School and I still don't know what to write. Maybe I should just describe this protrait of me.
Firstly, my hair colour. in real life, it is a 4-way cross between Blond, Honey, Sandy and Brown. I have many a "duiscussions" with my friends about my hair colour. In reality, I believe that it is blond, others may not agree.
Secondly, I am NOT a very arty person. I love to read, and draw things that are not real. Like squiggles, a cat face and a dog face. This is all that I can draw.
Thirdly, my painting looks much better in real life than in this picture. I hope that you will have a different view about this and that you all know that I am not all about reading!

About my self portrait

My self portrait. It went pretty well.

The first thing that I did was drew up the boarder of myself. I then used chalk and drew myself into the area. The details were added. The next thing that I did was that I painted my uniform, then my skin, and finally my face. The background was painted a warm colour. Finally I chose two coloured bottles of paint and we dotted the area surrounding myself.

I really liked this exercise/asessment because I was able to use my Right side of the Brain and do something different!

Art 2010

We have begun Art in 2010. We have painted a black background, a cool blue backgroung and a warm red. We then had a photo taken of ourselves. We then had to draw the border, which must touch 3 parts of our body. You must black out the negetative shapes around your body. You then chose the cool blue background or the black. I chose the black. We then drew the border and then we had to draw our outline while the photo of us was upside down.
